We wrapped up another great competition last week. Many thanks to all of the people who participated. Futures traders from all around the world had the opportunity to test their trading styles against fellow traders.

Six traders finished out the competition with profits of more than $100K.

Top 3 Traders from October 2011

Our first place winner was Dmitry Amelchenko. Dmitry completed the competition with more than $294K profit (more than a 294% return). He led the competition with a greater-than-$58K margin in the end. In second place was Abdul Latona, with more than $236K profit (over 236% return). Chris Trinidad ended the competition in third place with more than $187K profit (over 187% return).

Download the Platform

First, download the Global Strategy Trader platform if you haven’t already done so: ConsoleGSTrainerPaper4.2.0.4.exe

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the platform to your PC. If you need further assistance with the installation, please contact us directly. We will be happy to help.

The minimum requirements for this platform are:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, or 7)
Processor: E8400 Intel CPU or better
Physical RAM: 1GM RAM for Windows XP or 2GB RAM for Windows Vista or 7
Hard Drive: 7200 RPM Hard Disk
Graphics Card: Any modern graphics card with at least 256MB of dedicated memory.

Setup the Platform

After downloading and installing the platform, you will need to set it up with the information provided in your welcome email.

Username: [username]_ttc
For example, if you created the username “johnsmith”, your demo username would be “johnsmith_ttc”.
Password: This is the platform password that you set up during registration. If you cannot remember your password, refer to your welcome email or contact us directly.

Server: paper_gstrainer_rcg
Host: sim1.gstrader.com
Port: 5101

That’s all. Don’t modify any of the other settings. You are now ready to access your competition demo account.

You may have noticed that we have recently changed our domain name. Don’t worry – the competition has not changed. We have simply decided that Top Trader Competition was more suiting. We hope you agree.

With our changes, we have released a social networking platform. Our mission is to introduce top traders to the world, and to give traders the chance to connect with each other. Use our system to reach out to our top contestants for advice, tips, or just to chat with a like-minded individual.

You only have to register once with our new site. Each member is automatically entered into our competitions. Registration is free. If you want to compete for cash prizes, you have the option to do so as well, for a small fee.

Top Trader Competition has announced that the next competition will begin on Monday, October 17 and will conclude on Friday, October 21. The week-long trading competition will commence at 8:30 AM CT on Monday. Registrations will be accepted until the start of the competition.
