It is our mission to find and introduce the top futures and forex traders to the world. Top Trader Competition utilizes the interactive competition as a venue where expert and novice traders alike can demonstrate their trading skills.

About Us

What makes our competitions unique?
Top Trader Competition offers traders an opportunity to participate in our trading competitions in a simulated environment, where participants do not have to open real trading accounts or invest actual funds. There are several futures & forex brokerages out there who offer trading competitions, but the competitions are typically based on live trading meaning that all competition registrants are required to open live trading accounts. In many cases, they require a minimum starting balance and charge a high fixed commission rate for all trades. Top Trader Competition is different, because our competitions are confined to the simulated trading environment.

Who participates in our competitions?
Top Trader Competition participation is generally open to the public and attracts both novice and professional traders. In addition to our public competitions, we have conducted private competitions for brokers, platform providers, trading schools and educators. Recently, we conducted a private competition for Cargill, one of the world's largest privately owned companies dealing in food and agriculture. Cargill's competition was open only to select MBA students and was used to locate future professional traders for their company. Whether it is a private or public competition, Top Trader Competition consistently provides a top notch competition.

Live Simulated Trading

All of our competitions take place on live, simulated trading accounts. This means that you are never putting real money at stake. Competing on a simulated account gives you the freedom to place your trades without the risk of real money loss. Be careful though - if you lose it all, you are disqualified.

We offer live simulated trading accounts on several different Futures and Forex trading platforms (including GSTrader, NinjaTrader, Strategy Runner, X_TRADER®, MetaTrader 4, ForexTrader, and more).

Daily Standings

We update the results daily so you can see how you are doing against the other contestants. If you aren't ranking with the top scorers, you will know that it is time to step up your game.

Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses. There have been no promises, guarantees or warranties suggesting that any trading will result in a profit or will not result in a loss. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading.
